Hopital Sacre Coeur – 2011

In 2011, we visited Milot and worked for a week at Hopital Sacre Coeur. Milot is located about 12 miles south of Cap Haitien and is home to Sans-Souci Palace which was the royal residence of Henri Christophe, built in 1810. Roughly 5 miles south of Milot is Haiti’s most famous landmark, The Citadel.

Hopital Sacre Coeur is run by the Crudem foundation – >>http://crudem.org . The surgical department was capably headed by Dr Jerry Bernard and had an excellent Haitian medical staff.
