Port Au Prince

Haiti has one of the highest population densities in the world and although about 70% of the population live in rural areas, over 1 million live in the country’s capital Port-au-Prince. The surgical mission usually concludes the visit with a one night stay in Port-au-Prince for a little Haitian R & R before heading home. Here in this section is a little gallery about Port-au-Prince.

PETIONVILLE

Our destination for rest and relaxation at the conclusion of the surgical mission is Petionville located in the cool hills about 1200 feet above Port au Prince. Surprisingly nice hotels can found here. We have stayed at the Villa Creole and the Hotel Montana. We have visited El Rancho for dinner at its restaurant and for a little fun at its casino.

The Hotel Montana has some spectacular views from its balconies. It has a very nice pool as well.

In 2005 we paid a visit to El Rancho for dinner and some fun in the casino.

The Hotel Oloffson is also worth a visit. Great food, interesting environment, and the home of an incredibly good band – RAM. RAM is definitely a must see if you happen to be in Port au Prince on a Thursday night.

But if you get a chance, don’t miss RAM on Thursday night.

Many of our trips to Petionville have included dinner at a great French cuisine restaurant called La Souvenance.

  1. You can certainly see your skills in the work you write. The world hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always follow your heart.

  2. What I have seen in terms of pc memory is always that there are requirements such as SDRAM, DDR and many others, that must fit the specs of the motherboard. If the personal computer’s motherboard is kind of current while there are no os issues, improving the storage space literally will take under an hour or so. It’s among the easiest laptop or computer upgrade types of procedures one can visualize. Thanks for revealing your ideas.

  3. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say you have done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Chrome. Exceptional Blog!
